Roseanne Reboot Scores Renewal

ABC has given an 11th-season renewal to Roseanne following strong ratings for the debut episode of the reboot.

Counting one-day delayed viewing, the premiere episode of the comedy revival scored 21.9 million viewers. Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, noted, “We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes. The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the Roseanne team has in store for next year.”

The original cast returned for the new season, which also features brand-new series regulars and returning guest stars. The comedy is produced by Carsey-Werner Television. Executive producers include Roseanne Barr, Sara Gilbert, Tom Werner, Bruce Helford, Whitney Cummings and Tony Hernandez.
