Freeform Renews grown-ish

Freeform has given the green light to a second season of grown-ish, a spin-off of the hit ABC comedy black-ish.

The news about the 20-episode sophomore season was unveiled at the inaugural Freeform Summit during a kick-off panel conversation. The spin-off follows Zoey (Yara Shahidi) as she experiences college life at Cal U.

The series is produced by ABC Signature Studios and is executive produced by Kenya Barris, Helen Sugland, E. Brian Dobbins, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne and Julie Bean. grown-ish airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
