Netflix Renews Santa Clarita Diet

LOS ANGELES: Netflix has renewed its original series Santa Clarita Diet for a second season.

The series stars Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Drew Barrymore (Blended) as husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter, played by Liv Hewson. Barrymore’s character, Sheila Hammond, goes through a dramatic change that sends their lives down a road of destruction…in a good way.

Season two will head into production this summer. Santa Clarita Diet debuted on February 3 on Netflix worldwide. The series comes from showrunner Victor Fresco.
