Next Comedy Central Roast to Spotlight Justin Bieber

NEW YORK: Comedy Central has revealed that 20-year-old pop star Justin Bieber was selected as this year's Roastee for the network's long-running special that pokes fun at celebrities.

The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber will be filmed in Los Angeles. The tape and airdate are expected to be officially announced in the near future. Previous Roastees on the network have included Charlie Sheen, Roseanne Barr and James Franco, to name a few.

"Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We're thrilled he listened," said Kent Alterman, the president of content development and original programming for Comedy Central.
