BBC Worldwide North America Promotes Nigel Gaines to CFO

NEW YORK: Nigel Gaines has been upped from senior VP of finance to chief financial officer at BBC Worldwide North America, effective immediately.

As CFO, Gaines is charged with supervising all financial operations at BBC Worldwide North America. He will work under Herb Scannell, the company's president. He will also handle financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and risk management activities, and corporate financial strategy.

Gaines first joined BBC Worldwide North America in 2007 as director of finance for the channels division. He was later elevated to VP of finance for channels and digital, and in 2012 began overseeing the TV sales and co-productions business. Earlier in his career, he served as CFO of Citipost Corporation and as head of FP&A at Royal Mail International.
