Netflix Scores FOX Comedy New Girl

BEVERLY HILLS: Netflix has signed an exclusive multi-year streaming pact with Twentieth Century Fox Television for the comedy New Girl.

The first season of New Girl is available for Netflix members to stream instantly starting today. Subsequent seasons of the comedy will be available to the service following the broadcast season. New Girl was recently renewed for a third season on FOX. The show is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.

"New Girl has proven to be the biggest breakout sitcom hit of the season and we are thrilled to be able offer it so quickly to our U.S. subscribers," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer. "We know our members love comedies and that they’ll enjoy watching all the current and future episodes of New Girl whenever and wherever they want."
