CNE Adds to Business Development & Strategy Team

NEW YORK: Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE) has hired Whitney Hill as its new senior VP of business development and strategy, effective immediately.

Hill’s duties will involve developing and overseeing the company’s digital content and distribution division, including the expansion of original digital video programming based on Condé Nast’s brands. She will work under Fred Santarpia, CNE’s executive VP and chief digital officer.

Prior to her appointment, Hill served as the senior VP of Sony Music Entertainment’s strategic partnerships and global distribution business. Before that she was the director of domestic licensing for Twentieth Century Fox and the director of international television business development for Sony Pictures Entertainment.

"Whitney has assembled innovative global deals, involving multiple distribution partners and rights holders, that have created new monetization models and revenue streams," noted Santarpia. "Her knowledge of the global marketplace makes her the perfect executive to help us grow and expand our digital businesses."
