LOS ANGELES: Tara Long, the executive VP of U.S. alternative programming at Entertainment One (eOne) Television, has inked a new long-term deal with the company.

Under the new agreement, Long will continue to lead the studio’s U.S. alternative programming unit through its next phase of growth. Since launching the division, Long has secured best-in-class partners for eOne with a number of first-look pacts, including Kevin Healey (Scare Tactics) and Riaz Patel (How Do I Look?). eOne also recently inked a multiyear deal with Matt Anderson and Nate Green’s Purveyors of Pop to develop and co-produce premium unscripted content across multiple platforms. Among Long’s many credits are Nellyville, It’s A Mann’s World and The Sheards for BET; Mary Mary for WE tv; and David Spade’s comedy prank show Fameless for truTV.

John Morayniss, the CEO of eOne Television, commented: “Tara has a knack for finding original and captivating stories, and a talent for delivering stand-out content. She has transformed eOne into a significant player in the U.S. reality space with her track record of success of new hit shows and an incredibly impressive renewal rate. Tara is truly a powerhouse and I am thrilled that she is at the helm to bring more and more of our alternative programming to the global marketplace.”

Long added: “It’s very exciting to be leading such a talented team and dynamic business as we continue to grow our network of partners in the U.S. and broaden the international reach of our shows. This is only the beginning and we have a lot more great shows in the pipeline.”
