Sky Vision gets a first option on Elephant’s factual slate, with programming such as Agents of the ShadowsThe Curse of Vologne and Petit Panda.

The documentary Agents of the Shadows provides insight into the world of French espionage. The Curse of Vologne, a crime series for France 3, examines one of France’s most infamous and shocking child murders. Petit Panda is a one-hour documentary about the first baby panda born in France. It recently attracted 3.5 million viewers on TF1.

Sky Vision has also acquired Elephant Doc’s series Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body, which is one of France 2’s highest-rated popular science shows.

Andrew Bowers, acquisitions manager at Sky Vision, said: “Elephant Doc is the premier independent factual producer in France, with an impressive record of successful commissions across all the major French broadcasters. The variety of quality documentary content they create across science, nature, crime, history and culture will appeal to inquisitive audiences throughout the world.”

Gael Leiblang, managing director of Elephant Doc, said: “We are delighted to be working with Sky Vision to bring our content to a wider international audience. The deal we have agreed [to] works for us all in that it gives us the resource to create bespoke international versions rather than simply revoicing our films which will, in turn, deliver for Sky Vision and for us.”
