Scripps Networks in AsiaPac Greenlights 4K Anna Olson Title

TORONTO: Scripps Networks in the Asia Pacific has given the go-ahead to the 4K series Inspired with Anna Olson, the latest title in the franchise from Peace Point Rights.

The series was developed for Scripps Networks in the Asia Pacific and marks its first original commission from a North American producer. In addition, Inspired with Anna Olson has been licensed to Canada’s Shaw Media and will begin production this month across Asia.

Olson will travel to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Thailand to learn the secrets behind Asia’s best-loved signature dishes. She will then adapt the techniques, ingredients and flavors in her kitchen to create her own dishes.

“Anna’s affable on-screen personality and superb culinary techniques have been very well received by our viewers in Asia, making her our top choice when considering this commission,” said Carl Zuzarte, the head of productions and promotions at Scripps Networks for the Asia Pacific. “Through this production, we hope to connect more closely with our viewers via familiar scenes and tastes from this region, while elevating the element of inspiration through Anna’s tour experience and interpretation of flavors from Asia.”
