Notre Dame TV Series in the Works from ZED

Paris-based ZED has started production on a television series centered on Notre Dame Cathedral in association with Show of Force.

The series will shine a light on the revolutionary restoration techniques that will be used to return the iconic Gothic cathedral to form following the tragic fire earlier this month. Architects, engineers and historians—helped by access to detailed scans of the cathedral pre-fire—will get to work as filmmakers capture the process and broadcast the progress worldwide. Oscar winner Christine LeGoff is spearheading the project.

LeGoff said: “For the last ten years, I have been filming Notre Dame’s hidden corners and passageways. It is more than a cathedral, it is a symbol of France that all the world recognizes and loves. Last week’s tragic fire reminds us that even the most iconic monuments can disappear. Now comes the time to rebuild it for the future.”
