ZED Presents Ambitious AI History Slate

ZED has unveiled a lineup of history documentaries featuring AI-powered reconstructions developed within its own studio.

William the Conqueror: The Great Landing retraces the largest sea invasion of the Middle Ages–from the colossal logistics of the Norman fleet to the decisive Battle of Hastings, through the perilous crossing of the Channel.

Besieged Fortresses, Legendary Battles, season 3, is a four-part series exploring how four seemingly impregnable fortresses reshaped the art of warfare by ultimately falling to audacious warlords during some of the most spectacular sieges in ancient and medieval history.

Four-part series Knut, the Viking Emperor delves into the rise of a Viking warrior who, through a series of conquests, united Denmark, Sweden and England under a single crown, forging the creation of a Nordic empire of unparalleled size and power—and whose vestiges still shape Europe.

Babylon: The Tower to the Heavens, set in the heart of ancient Mesopotamia, explores one of the greatest architectural feats in ancient history: the construction of the monumental Etemenanki ziggurat, a symbol of Babylon’s power that inspired the biblical tale of the Tower of Babel.

ZED is currently launching the production of a new flagship history documentary: Spartacus, The Man Who Shook Rome. Through large-scale AI-powered cinematic reconstructions and in-depth expert analysis, the series will retrace the heroic destiny of the fearsome gladiator who led the greatest slave revolt in Roman history.
