Leading ZED’s slate, Tehran Confidential delves into the power within Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and their influence over the country’s politics and society.

Produced by Program33 for ARTE, the two-part investigation features “testimonies from the relatives of Canadian, British and other foreign hostages, along with senior political figures, and unprecedented interviews with Revolutionary Guards members themselves,” says Charlotte Tachet, head of distribution and acquisitions. “The documentary sheds new light on an elusive and powerful institution.”

Knut, the Viking Emperor brings to life the story of Knut the Great, who conquered and unified Denmark, Norway, Sweden and England into a Viking empire. “Produced by ZED, this epic series harnesses groundbreaking AI technology to bring to life the extraordinary saga of Knut the Great,” Tachet adds.

Egypt’s Atlantis: Treasures of a Sunken City chronicles the ongoing exploration of Thonis-Heracleion. “The film features exclusive access to the latest expeditions of explorer Franck Goddio and his team, enriched by sophisticated digital archives and immersive 3D reconstructions, bringing ancient history vividly back to life.”

Tachet adds, “These titles stand out for their great production value, meticulous attention to visual detail and dynamic storytelling techniques, uniquely tailored to captivate global audiences. Whether through AI-enhanced historical reconstructions, groundbreaking investigative journalism or innovative archaeological storytelling, each project offers distinctive insights into their respective fields. This diversity of approaches perfectly aligns with the distinctive and ambitious storytelling we continually strive to deliver. During our next markets, NATPE Budapest and Sunny Side of the Doc, ZED is actively seeking international partners and collaborators for these ambitious documentary projects and those to come. We warmly welcome opportunities to engage with innovative and visionary producers worldwide too.”
