WASHINGTON, D.C.: National Geographic Channel’s new series The Great Human Race, which follows two experts on a mission to retrace a migratory route of our ancestors, is premiering in the U.S. on February 1 and globally later this year in 171 countries and 44 languages.

Billed as part survival show and part history experiment, the series follows Bill Schindler, a top experimental archaeologist and primitive technologist, and Cat Bigney, an adventurist and survival instructor, as they trek across the planet, from where man first walked the Earth, all the way to North America. The journey takes them to nine different countries.
