ITN Productions has produced the fast-turnaround current affairs documentary Trump Revolution: 100 Days That Changed the World for Channel 4.

The 60-minute documentary is presented by Channel 4 News anchor Matt Frei, who considers whether U.S. President Donald Trump’s actions in the first 100 days of his second term are part of a thought-out strategy and whether billionaire supporters and voters still have faith in his leadership. Sean Spicer, Malcolm Turnbull and K.T. McFarland are among the contributors featured.

Spicer was the 30th White House Press Secretary, serving in 2017. Turnbull was the Australian Prime Minister from 2015 to 2018. McFarland served as the U.S. Deputy Assistant Trade Representative from 2018 to 2021.

The documentary was executive produced by Jeremy Daldry, deputy head of U.K. factual at ITN Productions. Tom Reeves was the producer and director, and Nickie Hyde was production manager. Postproduction was completed by ITN Post.

“The challenge when making any current affairs documentary is how to pin down evolving situations,” Daldry said. “Trump is more unpredictable than most, which has made the first 100 days of his second term so riveting and the need for our program that presses ‘pause’ to allow us to consider the facts and implications even more essential.”

Nevine Mabro, commissioning editor for news and current affairs at Channel 4, commented, “From trade tariffs to new alliances, Gaza to Ukraine, Trump’s second term has seen him hit the ground running with hurricane force. This documentary combs through the chaos left in the wake of the U.S. President’s first 100 days and goes behind the headlines to examine the seismic events that have shaken the U.S. and the world.”
