ITN Productions’ The Investigation of Lucy Letby to Premiere on Netflix

The Investigation of Lucy Letby, produced by ITN Productions for Netflix, will premiere on February 4.

The feature-length film about Lucy Letby, the British neonatal nurse who was found guilty of murdering seven babies, hears for the first time from the British police who investigated the case and features never-before-seen footage of Letby. It also includes an anonymized interview with a mother of one of her victims.

The Investigation of Lucy Letby was executive produced by Caroline Short and Ian Rumsey. It was directed by Dominic Sivyer, produced by Carla Wright and edited by Simon Mason.

“This was an incredibly challenging story to tell,” said Rumsey, managing director of content and ITN. “We’ve presented perspectives from all sides in order to let viewers draw their own conclusions. I’m enormously proud of the entire team, who’ve attempted to make the definitive documentary about this tragic case. It is ITN Productions at its best.”

“The access to all our contributors came with a huge responsibility to present everyone’s perspectives with care and understanding,” said Short, head of global TV of ITN Productions. “We are grateful to all those people who trusted us to tell their story.”

“This was an exceptional and demanding project, marked by significant creative and ethical responsibility,” said Sivyer. “Our aim was to craft a powerful, emotionally resonant depiction of the events surrounding the case.”
