Hit + Run Aligns with NV Studios for Unscripted JV

Hit + Run has partnered with the South Africa-based NV Studios to co-develop and produce a slate of unscripted series under the new joint venture Makeshift Entertainment.

The partnership will create a pipeline to the global marketplace, allowing both companies to capitalize on their joint distribution and creative expertise. The NV Studios teams in Johannesburg and Los Angeles will work closely alongside veteran executive producer Rob Shaftel and the Hit + Run development team. Shaftel and NV Studios’ Damien Brown will serve as EPs on all series to come from the partnership.

“With the marketplace changing rapidly, we are prioritizing our international reach while establishing different and unique production models,” said Shaftel. “Partnering with creative powerhouse NV Studios allows us to tap into their international distribution and production footprint, providing us access to more talent, creatives and buyers worldwide.”
