Half Yard Promotes from Within for VP of Development Role

Half Yard Productions has upped Matt Ayres from director of development to VP of development, effective immediately.

Ayres reports to Nicole Sorrenti, Half Yard’s chief creative officer. His role has expanded to overseeing the Say Yes to the Dress and The Last Alaskans producer’s creative output while continuing to aid in the company’s development process.

Ayres has over 15 years of experience as both a leading content creator and developer, working on productions including Twin Turbos and Hillbilly Handfishin’. He has a background in anthropological research and scripted feature fieldwork.

Sean Gallagher, CEO of Half Yard Productions, said: “Matt has been part of the Half Yard team since its earliest days and has played an instrumental role in launching new and noteworthy content, including our critically acclaimed docuseries Raising Tourettes and factual series The Last Alaskans.
