Frozen Planet II Sells Around the World

BBC Studios has closed a raft of international sales for its Natural History Unit’s landmark series Frozen Planet II, presented by David Attenborough.

Eleven years after the first series, Frozen Planet II takes viewers on a journey to the world’s coldest areas to capture some of the planet’s most enigmatic animals. It has sold throughout Europe, Asia, MEA, North America and Australia.

The series was acquired by Movistar+ (Spain), Mediaset (Italy), Nine (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), SIC (Portugal), Sony BBC Earth (India), SVT (Sweden), Yle (Finland), NRK (Norway) and DRTV (Denmark). BBC Earth channels across Asia, Africa, Turkey, Poland, Canada, MENA and the Nordics will also be premiering the series, as will BBC Player in Malaysia and Singapore.

Frozen Planet II is co-produced by BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit, BBC America, the Open University, Migu Video, ZDF, France Télévisions and NHK. Hans Zimmer composed music for the series.
