Discovery Channel Debuts Taiwanese Health Care Doc

The documentary Inside Taiwan: Health Care, highlighting Taiwan’s National Health Insurance (NHI), has debuted on Discovery Channel.

Inside Taiwan: Health Care is the result of a partnership between Discovery Taiwan and the Paujar Charity Foundation. The title explores the challenges of health care in rural areas, rare diseases, an aging population, how rising medical expenditures are testing the system’s limits and more.

The doc is a result of Taiwan’s actions during the Covid-19 pandemic. The country’s actions demonstrated positive management and highlighted the indispensable role of a well-established healthcare system.
