Discovery Communications and Atari are collaborating on a new game show that is set to premiere on Discovery Science in several European markets this fall.

Atari: Codebreaker will air first in the U.K. and Poland, followed by a selection of other European countries. The quiz, hosted by Martin Cole, will be focused on science topics such as astronomy, geography and everyday science. Participants must uncover a combination to open a safe filled with prizes. Content from the series will also be used to create short-form clips to drive viewers to a dedicated website featuring behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.

Frederic Chesnais, the CEO of Atari, noted, “Offering exclusive experiences to our players and attracting new ones is a key element to our strategy. We are therefore hugely excited to see viewers discover and engage with this new TV show.”

Viviane Paxinos, the VP of international ad sales at Discovery Networks International, added, “Discovery has a rich history spanning over 30 years in the content creation space. We are pleased to have worked with Atari on this project, showcasing the diverse and differentiated Discovery content capabilities. We are committed to super-serving our superfans across all genres and Atari: Codebreaker is a show that audiences will love.”

Atari: Codebreaker is produced by Atari Media Production with TH Films, Jeff Mirkin, Bruno Lesassier-Boisaune and Robert I. Blagman. Global Media Fusion is the distributor of Atari programs.
