Banijay Rights Inks Presales for Crime Series

Banijay Rights has secured presales in the U.K. and U.S. for the new factual crime series I Married a Murderer and American Justice.

The true-crime series I Married a Murderer was picked up by UKTV and is slated to air on Really later this year. The 104-episode series is produced by Bellum Entertainment and has also been acquired by Foxtel in Australia for its C&I channel. The program tells the stories of marriages that end in murder.

The three-part documentary American Justice, meanwhile, was scooped up by National Geographic in the U.S. From Minnow Films for BBC Two, the docuseries premiered in the U.S. earlier this year and was also picked up by SBS in Australia. American Justice examines the justice system in Jacksonville, which is known as Florida’s murder capital.
