Canada-Italy Doc Incentive Renewed

TORONTO: The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Italian Directorate General for Cinema of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism (DGC – MiBACT) have put together a financing package of C$200,000 ($153,000) for six co-productions under the Canada-Italy co-development incentive for documentary projects.

Both organizations have each contributed an equal share into the total funding. Six Canadian production companies will work with six Italian companies in the development of the documentary projects financed through this incentive. The selected projects are A Life Beyond Earth (Canada: Foundry Films; Italy: Matrioska), Forestieri: Macaroni mon voisin (Canada: Films du Rapide-Blanc; Italy: Dream Film – Ila Palma), In the Name of Gerry Conlon (Canada: Gearshift Films; Italy: Nightswim), Striking an Unlikely Chord (Canada: Tell Tale Productions; Italy: GA&A Productions), The Philosopher Gastronaut (Canada: Animoralda Media; Italy: FilmWorks) and The Revolving Door (Canada: Open Door; Italy: Moliwood Films).
