Production house Wonder, the Banijay Group company previously known as 7 Wonder, has won a duo of factual commissions from BBC Three.

The first commission is Work It (4×15 min.), which follows three fitness instructors at a gym that welcomes all shapes, sizes and physical abilities. The series will meet people with body image and self-esteem issues who come to the gym for guidance from the trainers, who aim to help them with their unique fitness goals.

Also ordered is Deadstock (4×15 min.), a series which showcases the sizeable amount of money that can be made reselling unexpected items found in second-hand and thrift stores, from Pokémon cards to My Little Ponies and rare vinyl to designer bags. Two resellers in the Deadstock warehouse will offer authentications and valuations for the items, while hearing the stories of where people got them. The series will also follow the items’ owners as they try to sell them.

Both series will be distributed globally by Banijay Rights.

Sarah Trigg, executive producer at Wonder, said: “Both series have been hugely enjoyable and exciting to develop. It’s great to bring fresh new talent to BBC Three via two new fact-ent formats. Both shows mix entertainment with fun, fascinating and often moving stories from young people, on a platform that speaks directly to them.”

Nasfim Haque, commissioning editor at BBC Three, said: “I’ve loved working with Wonder and their fantastic new team in Birmingham. I am incredibly proud of both these series as they feel relevant, fresh, stylish and absolutely joyous to watch.”
