BBC Three and BBC Current Affairs have ordered Andrew Tate: The Man Who Groomed the World? (w.t.) to delve into the international network spearheaded by Andrew Tate and his brother.

Investigative reporter Matt Shea and director Jamie Tahsin will take audiences from Romania to Argentina and the U.S. to discover the scale of Tate’s influence and reveal how his global network has potentially left hundreds of victims in its wake. Tate was charged with rape, human trafficking and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women in June 2023.

In the indictment, Romanian authorities said that Tate, his brother and two Romanian women formed an organized crime group in 2021 to commit human trafficking. They have all denied any wrongdoing. The film will expose those who helped turn Tate into a global influencer and delve into the ideologies and ultimate goals of Tate and his inner circle.

Shea and Tahsin previously collaborated on The Dangerous Rise of Andrew Tate, a VICE special sport that was broadcast on BBC Three earlier this year.

“We have now been investigating Andrew Tate and his inner circle for four years and are almost ready to reveal what we’ve uncovered,” Shea said. “In this documentary, we uncover Tate’s global network, which spans multiple continents [and] affects potentially hundreds of victims, and ultimately seek to discover who is really behind Andrew Tate.”

Nasfim Haque, head of content at BBC Three, commented, “Viewers loved Tahsin and Shea’s illuminating first documentary about Andrew Tate. This film continues their brilliant investigative work and reveals even more about how Tate and his organization operate their global network.”

“This is a powerful film that shines a light on the activities of Andrew Tate and those who are working closely with him,” added Joanna Carr, news controller for long-form commissioning at BBC Current Affairs. “It will help us to understand how and why Andrew Tate is able to influence so many young people in the U.K. and across the world.”

Mike Radford, executive producer of the film, added, “The documentary is testament to the tenacity and dedication of Matt and Jamie in investigating Andrew Tate and his organization. It’s important that as many people as possible should be made aware of the workings of him and his close associates.”
