Germany-based distributor Autentic Distribution has acquired several factual productions from all over the world, including the lifestyle series The History of Home and the food program The History of Food.

Both The History of Home and The History of Food are produced by Roller Coaster Road Productions and shot in 4K. The former goes on a journey into the past, present and future in order to explore what turns our house into a home, while the latter travels back in time to our hunter-gatherer beginnings to the future of urban farming, veganism and insect protein production.

For its science and technology catalog, Autentic Distribution added the 4K miniseries Engineering the Future and Stephen Hawking’s Favorite Places, from Bigger Bang. In addition, the factual distributor picked up Return to the Moon (Flight 33 Productions) and Speed (Arrow Media).

Also added to Autentic’s slate is the wildlife series Secret Lives of Big Cats (Ammonite), which follows seven species of big cats—tigers, snow leopards, pumas, lions, jaguars and cheetahs—through their habitat and portrays them in their full glory.

Mirjam Strasser, head of sales and acquisitions at Autentic Distribution, said: “We are very proud to present these high-quality factual productions to our international clients ahead of upcoming MIPTV. Our latest additions are premium documentaries and factual series that skillfully captivate and enrich their viewers.”
