Autentic Distribution Outlines MIPCOM Lineup

Autentic Distribution is heading to MIPCOM with over 80 hours of new content, including Independence Dawn—The Forgotten Revolution, Penguin Baywatch, Still They Rise—Afghan Women Under the Taliban and more.

“Our fall/winter lineup for MIPCOM 2025 captures the diversity of today’s factual storytelling—from pressing global debates and new perspectives on history to intimate cultural portraits and powerful stories about the natural world,” said Mirjam Strasser, head of sales and distribution at Authentic. “These films and series reflect our ongoing mission to connect audiences worldwide with stories that are relevant, thought-provoking and visually outstanding.”

Among the history titles in the lineup, Independence Dawn—The Forgotten Revolution marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and uncovers the untold stories of men and women who risked everything. Between Hitler and Stalin: Europe’s Darkest Years examines how two dictatorships unleashed mass violence across Eastern Europe, and The Jungle Hospital—The Myth of Albert and Helene Schweitzer reassesses the Schweitzers’ humanitarian legacy from a European and African perspective. Other titles are Archaeological Treasures of Nigeria, Antonio Salieri: Mastermind of Music and Police Women: The Fight for Equality.

The nature and wildlife catalog features 11 hours of fresh programming from Terra Mater Studios and partners. This includes Penguin Baywatch, following king penguins; Riddle in the Wind, uncovering how life on remote volcanic islands is shaped by human impact; American Amazon, exploring North America’s last swamp wilderness; and Shells—Within a Sheltered Spiral, diving into the world of seashells. Also available are Same Same—But Different, Oslo—The Wild Heart of Norway and Doñana—Spain’s Garden of Eden.

The current affairs slate includes titles such as Still They Rise—Afghan Women Under the Taliban, portraying how women in Afghanistan continue to pursue education and work despite the regime’s restrictions, and Game Over: The Fall of Credit Suisse, revealing how greed and recklessness led to the collapse of the financial institution. Surviving Globalism centers the global tensions shaping our era and Cold War in Paradise—The Pacific Power Struggle uncovers the geopolitical battle for influence in the Solomon Islands.
