National Geographic’s A Real Bug’s Life is set to return with a second season on Disney+ on January 15.

Narrated by Awkwafina (The Farewell, Crazy Rich Asians), season two dives even deeper into the world of bugs, traveling from the tropical beaches of Malaysia and the misty forests of the Smoky Mountains to the wetlands of Derbyshire and all the way down to Australia.

It follows the daily dramas, unique quirks and superpowers of bugs such as peacock spiders, which can see more colors than humans and can jump 40 times their body length; fireflies that can create cold light with an enzyme called luciferase; and damselfly nymphs that can grab their prey in just 40 milliseconds, less than half the time it takes to blink an eye.

A Real Bug’s Life is produced by Plimsoll Productions for National Geographic. Executive producers are Martha Holmes, Grant Mansfield and Tom Hugh-Jones for Plimsoll and Justine Schmidt and Pamela Caragol for National Geographic.

All episodes of the first season are currently streaming on Disney+. The five episodes of season two will bow on January 15.
