Fremantle’s Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story will premiere on December 30 on Netflix.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story follows the disturbing rise and unraveling of the Utah therapist who was arrested for child abuse alongside parenting YouTuber Ruby Franke. The documentary is directed by Skye Borgman (Abducted in Plain Sight, My Father, The BTK Killer, Unknown Number: The Highschool Catfish).

On August 30, 2023, Hildebrandt was arrested at her home in Ivins, Utah, after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped through a window and ran to a neighbor for help. This documentary unpacks the layers of manipulation, power and control behind the case of Hildebrandt, revealing how, as a so-called “trusted” mentor, she weaponized her influence and left lasting devastation.
