Autentic Introduces Pitching Event

Autentic is launching Autentic Matchmaking Day, an international pitching event for documentary and factual series and multi-part formats currently in development.

“In a time when the factual and documentary sector faces tighter budgets and shrinking commissioning opportunities worldwide, international cooperation has become essential to get projects off the ground,” said Alexandra Böhm, head of international co-production at Autentic. “Autentic Matchmaking Day will provide a focused, accessible platform to showcase high-quality, internationally relevant projects. As a distributor with a strong global network, Autentic’s strength lies in strategic matchmaking—connecting the right projects with the right partners to maximize co-production opportunities and accelerate the path from idea to commission.”

The one-day online event, slated to take place on June 16, 2026, is designed to connect leading factual producers with broadcasters, platforms and key decision-makers in factual commissioning. A curated selection of projects will be showcased. For all projects that are realized, international distribution rights will be handled by Autentic.

Participation guidelines and the submission timeline will be announced at the end of January 2026.
