MBC Group has appointed Marc Antoine d’Halluin, former chairman of M7, as its new chief executive.

D’Halluin, who served as chief executive of OSN from 2006 to 2010, replaces Sam Barnett, who resigned from MBC in October. Barnett joined the company in 2002 and has been at the head of the broadcaster since 2011.

D’Halluin is scheduled to join on January 5, 2020, having served as chairman of the management board of the Luxembourg-based M7 Group, which operates satellite pay-TV bouquets in Holland, Belgium, Austria, Czech and Slovakia. Previously, he served as CEO of Zodiak Media from mid-2013 to February 2016. From 2006 and 2008, D’Halluin served as CEO of Showtime Arabia in Dubai. He started his media career at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
