Groupe M6 has purchased a 33 percent stake in Life TV, an acquisition that will see the French company collaborate in creating a new channel for the Ivory Coast.

The network, also named Life TV, will be launched in 2018. The general-interest channel is being directed at all viewers, with a local content-based program schedule that features entertainment series, news, films, talk shows and more, mainly produced internally thanks to the creation of the Ivory Coast’s largest production studio. It will also offer programs from Groupe M6’s catalog.

Vincent Broussard—who has managed several television networks in France, including Téva, TF6 and Serieclub—is the managing director of the new Life TV channel.
