FremantleMedia International Taps Former Kanal D Exec

LONDON: Amaç Erol Us, who most recently served as a sales and acquisitions exec at Kanal D, is to head up sales for the Middle East, Africa and Southeastern Europe at FremantleMedia International.

Us will be reporting to Anahita Kheder, the company's senior VP for the Middle East, Africa and Southeastern Europe. He will be responsible for exploring tape distribution and format growth opportunities across the Middle East, Africa, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Turkey. Us will also focus on scripted content distribution and develop synergies in the scripted space between the regional markets. He will be based in Dubai.

Kheder said, “In recent years we have witnessed significant changes and growth in the television business across the Middle East, Africa and Southeastern Europe, and FMI has worked exceptionally hard to establish itself as a market leader within the region. The addition of Amaç brings further local knowledge and expertise to our team that will help us to expand our presence and continue to build upon our successes to date.”
