DISCOP Istanbul Expects Rise in MidEast Attendance

LOS ANGELES: The current registration numbers for the next DISCOP Istanbul show a sharp increase in the number of attendees from the Middle East.

DISCOP Istanbul is expected to host around 20-percent more attendees from the Middle East at the upcoming event, which takes place from March 4 to 6. The event will also welcome for the first time all public broadcasters from the Gulf Cooperation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

There will be a two-part conference hosted by Nabil Kazan, the president of KPTV MENA and DISCOP's ambassador in the Middle East, to provide an overview of the changes that have impacted the Arab broadcasting and production industries in the last year.

"The television content business in the Arab world is going through important changes, more so than ever before," commented Kazan. "And our selection of speakers will reflect these innovative developments which will benefit the entire industry."
