TRACE Brings in New COO for Africa

LONDON: TRACE has hired Victor Bannerman-Chedid as chief operating officer for the company's African business.

In his new post, Bannerman-Chedid will supervise all operational functions for TRACE's African businesses. He is expected to assist with the company's continued efforts to increase its operations across the continent.

Bannerman-Chedid previously served as acting marketing director for Airtel Zambia. Earlier in his career, he held a number of operational leadership roles at Airtel Nigeria, Vodafone Ghana and MTN Ghana. He also worked for such financial institutions as Ecobank Ghana and UBA Ghana.

"Victor brings extensive knowledge of the rapidly changing media and mobile market and will help TRACE as we sharpen our focus on delivering long-term value to all our valued patrons, clients and stakeholders," stated Olivier Laouchez, chairman and CEO of TRACE. "More importantly, he possesses a keen understanding of emerging trends in mobile communications and media in Africa and emerging markets in general."
