Zee Mundo Assembles Leadership Team

MIAMI: A new leadership team has been put in place for Zee Mundo, the first Bollywood movie channel dubbed in Spanish.

Javier Lopez Casella has been named head of business, tasked with oversight of the company’s operations and expansion. Prior to joining Zee Mundo, Lopez Casella served as VP of distribution and development for BBC Worldwide and director of distribution at Discovery Communications.

Alfredo Bellido becomes head of operations and will oversee strategic planning and fiscal performance along with promoting Zee Mundo’s culture of excellence to all clients and affiliates. Bellido is seasoned in television project management, having held key roles at Yahoo!, Viacom and NBCUniversal.

David Caban assumes the role of director of programming. He will also be directing content strategy for the new movie channel. A veteran of the Hispanic and Latin American TV industry, Caban most recently served at AMC Networks Latin America, where he led the transition and rebrand of the former MGM movie channel.

Rolando Figueroa has been appointed head of marketing and digital communications. Figueroa joins Zee Mundo having held key positions at highly recognized media companies such as Hola! TV, BBC Worldwide Channels, and MGM Networks Latin America, among others.
