MEXICO CITY: Televisa Networks has reached an agreement with MGM to renew its license for the James Bond film catalogue, including the latest installment, Skyfall.

Golden in Latin America has licensed Skyfall‘s pay-TV window for the region. The network has also renewed its basic cable license for all 22 of the previously broadcast Bond titles. Skyfall is expected to make its debut for Televisa Networks’ viewers in June.

Bruce Boren, the managing director of Televisa Networks, said that the deal for Skyfall represents one more step towards providing the best content to the audiences in Latin America. Televisa Networks has held the TV rights in Latin America for the Bond films since 2007.

“This deal solidifies the presence of the legendary Bond franchise under a single umbrella and strengthens the relationship between Televisa Networks and MGM,” added Chris Ottinger, the president of international television distribution and acquisitions at MGM. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Televisa in Latin America to coincide with James Bond’s 50th anniversary.”
