NEW YORK: Telemundo and Time Inc. have teamed up to launch SOS: Save My House (SOS: Salva Mi Casa), a home-improvement show due out this Saturday.

The program, which is Time Inc.’s first Spanish-language TV show and its first major collaboration with Telemundo, has already been picked up for a first season. The series will follow families in need of room renovations, with host Andrea Minski and general contractor Jose Perez fulfilling the families’ home-improvement goals. The title is produced in association with Moonwater Pictures.

“We are delighted to be working with Telemundo to create exciting, original programming,” said Evelyn Webster, the executive VP of Time Inc. “Time Inc. is expanding in many ways, including the launch of new digital, video and television products, and we’re thrilled to add our first Spanish-language TV venture to the mix with SOS: Salva Mi Casa.”

“Hispanics represent one of the fastest growing demographics of homeowners in the United States,” said Maria Lopez Alvarez, the senior VP of reality programming at Telemundo. “We’ve built this series on the foundation of Time Inc.’s trusted and well-established properties in order to address the increasing number of Spanish speaking DIYers in need of solid home-improvement advice and expertise.”
