UNIVERSAL CITY: Telemundo’s cable network for Hispanic millennials, mun2, is set to deliver more than 200 hours of original programming in the 2013/2014 season, including the new series Horoscopos, Viva Los Vargas and Reinas de Realty.

Horoscopos is focused on regional Mexican music stars Horoscopos de Durango. Viva Los Vargas features champion boxer Fernando Vargas and family. Reinas de Realty is a series about two friends operating a real estate agency in Los Angeles. Returning to the channel are Larrymania and DUB Latino. New for the channel this summer will be Barclays Premier League action, with mun2 as the exclusive Hispanic cable home for the tournament (the rights to which were scooped up by NBCUniversal after numerous years on Fox Soccer Channel). The channel has also given the go-ahead to the music shows Al Tiro con La Bronca and ¡mun2POP!, and is developing Movie Crashers, a series for Spanish-language movie site Fandango Cine.

Diana Mogollón, general manager of mun2, noted, “We have pioneered original programming that is a staple for the young, Hispanic adult audience. We created the Hispanic celebrity reality genre with the defining series I Love Jenni and the network’s number one series in 2012, Larrymania, and this year we will continue to expand upon it. In 2013 and 2014 we will develop series surrounding the most talked about Latino personalities—fascinating stories and lives, some you know and all you will want to know. We will bring their story to our audience, 360, across all multiscreen platforms, in the duality of language and culture that our audience looks to us for. From reality to celebrity, music to sports, news and red carpet events, we will bring the new picture and passions of Hispanic millennials to U.S. cable and beyond."
