Maria Badillo Joins Tr3s

MIAMI: After having served as the director of programming and acquisitions for Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic, Maria Badillo has now taken on the post of VP of programming and production for the U.S. Hispanic network Tr3s.

Badillo will be leading the company’s programming strategies and original production output across all of Tr3s’s platforms. At Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic, Badillo was responsible for developing the programming strategies across multiple brands. She previously held several roles at Discovery, including as branding entertainment producer. Prior to that she was the senior VP of programming and production at ¡Sorpesa!

Fernando Gaston, the brand manager for Tr3s, said, "As we continue our ambitious evolution of Tr3s, Maria will ensure that our rich and diversified development slate, as well as our new and established production teams, will all serve the creative vision for the network and our audience. As we launch our new prime-time slot, this is the perfect moment for Maria to take the reins."
