NEW YORK: BBC Worldwide has struck a deal with HBO Latin America for a collection of tween- and teen-targeted series.

The package includes Sadie J, which follows a tomboy learning to be a girly girl. HBO Latin America also licensed Leonardo, which takes viewers back to Renaissance Italy. The drama Strike Back and the music series Later…with Jools Holland were also part of the package.

Helen Jurado, the VP for television sales and distribution at BBC Worldwide Latin America, said: “Latin American broadcasters are seeking the attention of younger viewers and their families, so tween and teen content is in high demand—it’s a real trend right now. We’re fortunate to have a raft of strong content in this genre available in our extensive catalogue.”
