HBO Latin America Signs Film Pact with NBCU

MIAMI: A new agreement, effective 2015, delivers feature films from the NBCUniversal catalogue to HBO subscribers across Latin America, excluding Brazil.

The agreement, between HBO Latin America and NBCUniversal International Television Distribution, is for the exclusive first-run pay-TV rights for a host of film titles. The selected movies will run across HBO and MAX branded channels in the region, as well as on HBO GO.

Gaston Comas, the CEO of HBO Latin America Group, said: “We are very proud to have accomplished this deal, as the addition of NBCUniversal’s very strong content offering will reinforce our position as leaders in the industry.
