Globo’s International Signal in U.S. & Canada to Be Available in HD

SÃO PAULO: This October, Brazil’s Globo is set to launch its international channel in the U.S. and Canada in HD for the first time.

Subscribers from main cable service providers will be able to watch Globo’s programming with a superior sound and image quality. The programming consists of real-time news, live sportscasts, telenovelas and miniseries, as well as children’s and variety shows.

There are currently six pay-TV channels around the world, with over 2.2 million subscribers. The signals are transmitted via satellite, cable, IPTV and OTT.
