SÃO PAULO: NewSource Globo, a news and media services agency from Brazil’s Globo, is teaming up with the Associated Press to make content, services and infrastructure available to international TV networks during this year’s carnival in Rio de Janeiro.

The popular party will take place from February 14 to 18. NewSource will have a studio set up in Rio’s Sambadrome, where it will generate an exclusive international signal for broadcasters. Furthermore, image packages will be made available with the highlights in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as footage from the party in several of the country’s cities.

Coverage will also include footage of Rio’s street carnival, which counts on the participation of thousands of people. Strategic stand-up positions will be available at Copacabana's beachfront and in a studio in the area of Botafogo.
