SÃO PAULO: Brazil’s Globo has signed a carriage deal for its international channel with Bolivian pay-TV operator COMTECO.

Globo is now carried via seven operators in the Andean nation. The channel will be available to more than 75 percent of Bolivian homes with pay TV starting this month.

Launched in 1999, Globo’s international channels are the first Brazilian networks to be broadcast to the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking audience living abroad. Signals are transmitted via satellite, cable, IPTV and OTT. Programming includes real-time news, live sportscasts, telenovelas, miniseries, and children and variety shows.
