MIAMI: FremantleMedia Latin America has named a new VP of business development and a VP of production, to be based in the company’s Miami offices.

Godfrey McFall takes on the role of VP of business development, charged with assessing opportunities in new genres and territories through organic investment, partnerships and acquisitions. He will aim to fully utilize FremantleMedia’s international expertise and creative strength in order to build long-lasting, committed relationships with new and established clients. McFall joins FMLA from FremantleMedia’s corporate headquarter in London, where he was a key adviser to FremantleMedia’s CEO, Cecile Frot-Coutaz.

Additionally, Jose Lascurain has been named VP of U.S. Hispanic, pan-regional and Mexico production. The exec, who was most recently the director of production and development at Endemol Latino, will be responsible for overseeing production development across his designated territories and further exploiting FremantleMedia’s capabilities and offerings to produce original and new formats in the region.

“The appointments underpin FremantleMedia’s commitment to the region and plans to further develop the business,” said Adrian Santucho, the CEO of FremantleMedia U.S. Hispanic, Pan-regional and Mexico. “McFall’s background and skills give him a deep insight and extensive understanding of business strategies and partnership models in our industry, whereas Lascurain brings great leadership, and incredible content development and production experience to our organization.”
