Former BBC Worldwide Exec Joins Cisneros Media Distribution’s LatAm Team

MIAMI: Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) has hired former BBC Worldwide exec Helen Jurado to help bolster its presence in Latin America as the new senior director of sales and business development.

Jurado will report directly to Cesar Diaz, the company’s VP. She’ll be charged with maximizing the profitability of the Cisneros Media catalogue in Latin America, along with developing new multiplatform strategies. Additionally, Jurado will be tasked with analyzing and identifying growth opportunities while exploring new avenues of business and continuing the growth of the company’s client base in the region.

Jurado previously worked at BBC Worldwide as their VP of sales and distribution for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic. She was instrumental in that company’s expansion through Latin American territories.

“Helen brings her accomplished experience to CMD and to the Latin American market, where she has excelled throughout her career,” said Diaz. “It will be a seamless transition for her as she has long-standing relationships and a distinguished reputation in the region; not to mention her proven track record of maximizing product revenue through multiplatform sales.
