Federation Hires for LatAm Push

PARIS: Leyla Formoso has been tapped by Federation Entertainment to drive the expansion of the company’s drama slate in Latin America.

Reporting to Jean-Michel Ciszewski, the head of international at the company, Formoso is tasked with expanding Federation’s distribution business in Latin America. “Federation has already reached a number of important milestones in terms of growth since the company launched just two years ago, and we are confident Leyla’s specialist knowledge of the Latin American markets will further consolidate our activities within the region as we continue to extend our reach,” said Ciszewski.

Federation’s kids’ programming slate remains under the remit of Monica Levy, VP of sales and acquisitions at Federation Kids & Family.

Formoso continues to handle kids’ programming sales for Xilam Animation. Her nearly two decades in international sales, production, development and acquisition has included roles at Gaumont/Alphanim, SevenOne International and Nelvana. She recently spent four years with Venezuela’s Ministry of Culture, acquiring and distributing for the country’s national channels.
