LOS ANGELES, July 16: Former Telemundo executive Adriana Ibañez is joining MundoFox, the new U.S. Hispanic broadcast network launching next month, as the executive VP of programming, reporting to president Emiliano Saccone.

Ibañez, based in Los Angeles, joins the network—a joint venture of FOX International Channels and RCN—August 1. She will work closely with Saccone in determining the programming strategy for the channel, including acquisitions. The network will reach 75 percent of U.S. Hispanic homes when it launches August 13.

Ibañez left Telemundo earlier this year following several years as the executive VP of programming. She joined the NBCUniversal-owned network in 2003 from Caracol in Colombia.

“Securing the services of a proven executive like Adriana is a huge ‘get’ for MundoFox,” said Saccone. “Her excellent track record of discovering and bringing innovative and audience-pleasing programming to market will prove invaluable to our future success. We are delighted to have her join our expanding team as we move full speed towards launch.”
