NEW YORK: Discovery U.S. Hispanic has revealed a variety of new programs for its networks Discovery en Español, which will increase its focus on motoring series, and Discovery Familia for the 2014-15 season.

Programming highlights for Discovery en Español include the new adventure series Tethered and Survive That, along with a new season of Naked & Afraid. Magic gets spotlighted in Mago Pop, an addition to the channel’s Enigma lineup, joining another season of the paranormal-themed Unexplained File.

Deadline Crime, a news magazine featuring Today Show host Tamron Hall, will join a new season of Behind Mansion Walls in the investigation roster. Motor shows are slated to become a larger part of the network’s slate, headed by the reality show Texas Trocas, which follows a big-rig trucking business run by a spirited family. Other vehicle-related shows include Chrome Underground, Taller de Vaca and a new season of Fast N’ Loud.

Making up the channel’s natural history offerings are the original series Mystery of the Lost Islands, the six-part serial Survival and the special Wild Brazil. Finally, the Discovery a Fondo strand will premiere two new specials: El Vaticano, a look behind the walls of the secretive Vatican, and Jungla Comandos, which follows an elite anti-narcotics unit.

Several factual titles make up Discovery Familia’s slate of upcoming shows. New programming includes the parenting series World’s Worst Mom and the breast-cancer documentary I Don’t Have Time for This, along with the beauty-centered Starting Over and the home show House Made Simple. Returning series are Cake Boss and its spin-off, Cake Boss: Next Great Baker; the parenthood show One Born Every Minute: What Happened Next; Hoarding: Buried Alive; the fashion programs Ultimate Shopper and What Not to Wear; and the home-renovation series Love It or List It.

“Our U.S. Hispanic networks provide advertisers with the opportunity to participate in a broad range of contextually relevant environments that uniquely differentiates the Discovery brand and truly engages the Hispanic community,” said Ivan Bargueiras, the general manager of Discovery U.S. Hispanic’s networks. “Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia are bringing an exciting programming slate that combines our high-quality content with surprising stories and edgy characters.”
